The social media was not designed for business purpose but with changing business practices around the world, social media has gained attention.  One cannot stay away from using social media for the purpose of marketing and communication. The advertising option given on the social media is used by the business to promote their interest. Evolution of social media tool has led to development of business practices across the world. Social media is evolving continuously with the fast pacing world most of the companies whether small or large are using social media as an effective tool to propagate their business. Companies rather than posting information on their product or service can use social network (Treem and Leonardi, 2013). The primary focus of social networking is to engage with the client in an effective manner. Social media today is used as one of the efficient tool to connect with the customers directly. Connecting with the direct audience has become a new way of doing business. The purpose of the business around the world is to attain efficacy and to work in competition with the international organization. Half of the largest Australian companies are using social media tools like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube to connect with the customers. The most popular companies using social media channel are Telstra, Optus, Qantas, Virgin Australia, Myer, Monash University and the University of Sydney. They are present almost everywhere on the social media and update customers about the new policies and procedures (Herngaard, 2011).

Telstra is a leading Australian leading mobile phone operator and a broadband service provider. The company is recognized as a brand excessively using Social networking to promote brand name. They are using social network for the purpose of propagating information. Telstra is using all the four platforms in a different manner. Twitter is used by the brand to communicate with the customers in order to provide services. The service agent responds to the customer queries online basis.  In case if the question is difficult to be resolved on Twitter then it is directed to the correct department. Company is using its official Facebook page to provide general information to the customer. The information related to the company is shared on Facebook page (Perrin, 2015).

LinkedIn is used by Telstra to connect with the people who wish to pursue their career with them the company is promoting career site on LinkedIn. This has helped business in attaining sustainable market position. The Telstra career website is used by the individual in order to promote career interest of the company in an efficient manner. On YouTube there are more than 2 million views and company is using their own YouTube channel (Leftheriotis and Giannakos, 2014). The content is organized by the team by providing information related to their product and services. Social media strategies are important way to capture customer engagement and to retrieve maximum efficiency. Different channels of social media have different audience and they are engaging the customers in an effective manner, Telstra success largely depends upon the social media practices. Success of the organization largely based on the manner in which a company approaches to the customer and develops relationship. Organizations that act according to the preference of the customers reveal that they have potential to improve in near future (Dron and Anderson, 2014).

Social media is used in a better manner by Telstra for the purpose of carrying out campaigning. They have a personal broadcast channel that is used in an efficient manner in order to adopt an effective way of promotion. The promotion technique has become one of the efficient ways to communicate with the customers.  The business can easily be carried out online by accomplishing goal. This provides company a chance to deal with the problems in an efficient manner. They can easily acknowledge or respond to the issue in an effective manner. The social media is used by majority of companies in dealing with multiple issues that are occurring outside their capacity (Ritter, 2014).

The companies are using social media to showcase a strong image to the customers. The multinational organizations are using Social media to build a strong image in their mind; companies nowadays are allowing employees to express their views on the social networking. Social media is used actively by the companies in case of developing a positive image. This is evident that the business nowadays are facing problems and social media effectively helping in building a strong image in front of people(Fuchs,2013). Social media today is used as one of the efficient tool to connect with the customers directly. Connecting with the direct audience has become a new way of doing business. In such a diversified market situation it is necessary that a brand should use social media as an effective tool to spread information about the new strategy. The social media is widely influencing the organization in the process of decision making. Most of the marketing strategies in an organization are carried out by Tesla to promote the new facilities as provided by them (Dijkmans, Kerkhof and Beukeboom, 2015). 

Companies nowadays are using various different types of social media in order to promote product and services.  Online marketing has become an important component of every company. Social media has relatively earned an important place in the recent time and it has enabled strategic growth in the business organization. It is relatively a cheap mode of communication and has maximum outreach. Modern age companies are relying on social media in order to attain efficacy. It is important for the business organizations to develop social media as an efficient tool in the modern Age (Patel, 2015). This will enable business to attain effective growth. Social media is rapidly becoming a new force in an organization around the world. It has allowed managing close knit with the people across the world. This has however helped in enabling effective marketing and communication strategies.  Use of social media will clearly earn more importance in coming years. Majority of companies have assured that they are using social media in order to develop multiple business channels. It is projected that the social media will earn importance in the coming years and will help in developing effective relationship with the business partners & other stakeholders (Paterson, 2012).

It is important to notice that Tesla has been effectively using social media tools and has developed relationship with the business partners and customers.  People are turning towards the use of social media in order to deal with the issues they are facing with the product or service. Companies now understand that social media and development of relationship on the social media. One cannot stay away from using social media for the purpose of marketing and communication. The advertising option given on the social media is used by the business to promote their interest. The purpose of social media is to attain innovation in the overall business. Social media today is used as one of the efficient tool to connect with the customers directly. Connecting with the direct audience has become a new way of doing business. In such a short tenure Social media has gained importance and it is projected that the social media will earn special place in the organization. Strategic marketing process requires effective use of social media tools. Under such a competitive environment it has become necessary for the business organization to develop effective practice in order to give preference to the social media and various related tools. This is effective for a business organization to develop itself according to the contingencies occurring in the world. It is evident that the business organizations need to develop it in order to cope up with the pressure developing internationally (Herngaard, 2011).

To conclude it is evident that the business needs to develop as per the challenges occurring at the global platform. Telstra has incorporated social media in work. The company is doing a considerable business through social media. In the era of globalization social media has attained an important place. In order to develop effective relationship with the customers it is necessary that the business organization need to use effective business policies. One cannot stay away from using social media for the purpose of marketing and communication. Hence it is evident that the business organizations need to use social media in order to attain significant market position.
