Facility planning means to stay one step ahead of looking after the demand of the workplace. It is the prime duty of the facility manager to increase the space; help in improving the experience of workplace also help in keeping the low cost. The main focus of facility manager is to look after the recent trends and find out which is important that can meet the needs of the workplace. The main objective of facility planning is to make the workplace a best talent destination (Aziz, Nawawi & Arrif, 2016). Ethical issues take place when a particular situation, activities or decision has a tendency to create conflicts with the moral principles of society. Ethical issues in facility planning create a challenge for the facility manager (Ferrell & Fraedrich, 2016).

Some of the ethical issues in facility planning include:

• All the employees are not treated properly and in fairly manner due to which it leads to improper and biased behaviour.
• More priority is given on profit maximization rather than focusing on the learning needs of the employees.
• Employees are used in the organization so that they will help in making profit for the organization.
• The resources are not being used properly and in fairly manner by the facility managers which lacks in defining the mission and vision of the company.
• One of the main ethical issues found in facility planning is the gender discrimination and harassment as the senior managers take advantage of their position.
• There is less transparency in the communication due to which the employees have to face a lot of problems.
• During facility planning, the facility manager should look after implementing change but the change cannot be seen in the workplace.
• Facility planner is not providing the staff the tools which are required for doing the work. As it the responsibility of facility planner to make the organization an attractive place to work in.
• Goals which are conflicting and unrealistic give unnecessary pressure on the employees which leads to bad performance. Facility planner should set the goal of the organization which seems to be realistic and can be attainable.
• If the culture of workplace is toxic which leads to the unnecessary pressure on employees might impact their performance. Facility manager’s prime duty is to keep the cost low of the workplace but manipulating of sales figure may leads to ethical issues in the workplace.
  
  

At last it can be concluded that ethical issues need to be kept in mind in order to provide better solutions to improve the work culture. Facility manager have to plan all the facilities by keeping in mind the needs of the employees. They should not feel that they are treated in unfair manner; giving them equal rights will help to improve performance of the employees. Bringing transparency in the communication will help the correct information to reach the right person and the decision taken would be helpful for the organization( Brooks & Dunn, 2020). The facility planner should also look after the culture of the workplace instead of focusing on the profit maximization. The organizations that work ethically get success for longer period of time.
