Researchers have proposed numerous models, with stages going from 2 to 6, like the Layne and Lee Maturity Model in the United States and the Andersen and Henriksen Maturity Model in Denmark. Despite the different digital government models utilized, the essential objective and reason for existing are improving government proficiency and effort in private and public areas. The stages of digital governance are; Presence, cooperation, transaction, and change. This literature aims to explain variables influencing digital government strategies and the possible issues that may affect the digital government strategies.

Scope of digital governance

According to Erkut (2020), the most significant shift that could arise from the IT-enabled government is a reform of the public sector that brings together a few formerly disparate sections of each division. In terms of service delivery, the new IT environment offers new avenues (Web, email) for citizens to register their preferences, as well as new means of service delivery, particularly for information-based services, and new types of joint effort between government agencies, corporate and non-governmental organizations, and individuals. Digital governance is more than simply presenting or deploying technological tools; it also entails a transformation in mindset and works culture to properly integrate government activities and procedures for service delivery excellence to the citizens.

Techniques and Concept of digital government

Governments in OECD nations are steadily moving their way to deal with advanced public assistance conveyance from government-centric (zeroed in on cost decrease, proficiency, and efficiency in service conveyance) to user-centric (zeroed in on expecting clients' necessities to improve managerial and individual services) to user-driven techniques (aimed at improving digital migration to permit the government to improve public value) (Ubaldi, 2020). As per Ubaldi et al. Even though the full revolutionary implications of digital government are still being realized, the tremendous surge in attention and resources allocated to digital government efforts may aid in faster developments. The accomplishment of such defined agendas is possible thanks to digital government. As a result, it isn't a goal in and of itself. Instead, it could contribute to the government's strategic goals (Azzopardi et al., 2020).
