A strategic plan is defined as planning which consists of five elements such as vision, mission, objectives, goals, action plan, and details about how they will be updated and reviewed (Baiev & et. al., 2019). Business needs to work with their employees to achieve strategic plan in one to three years in an effective way. The two organizations selected for a given assignment are Ringwood Secondary College (RSC) and Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) which were founded as Australia. RSC is a public school that has a motto to promote culture and service and CBAA is a charity and industry trade group to provide community broadcasting peak organization. Main aim of the report is to prepare a strategic plan for both organisations to gain positive results. The report highlights current state of organizations, SWOT analysis, business model canvas, and proposed future state. It also discusses key stakeholders, risk register and providing recommendations for better improvement to achieve set results in a given period and adopt proposed changes taken place at the workplace.
The selected organisation is Ringwood Secondary School which was established in 1954 in Australia (Baxter, 2019). It is the education sector that is public and provides co-educational public secondary schools. This was the first school that has constructed at new Light Timber Construction (LTC) and address chronic shortage at school place. It focuses on providing education to 7-12 year and 11 and 12 students who can undertake VCE program. This is working with the motto of Culture and service and Principal is Michael Phillips. This school is creating opportunities for developing virtue, courage, respect, and creativity. This organisation is operating to provide high-quality education to students and staff are highly skilled and capable to conduct business activities and operations. The physical presence consists of school, building, equipment, and others. They are using technology for providing education to their students. Structure consists of people, physical evidence, and others.
The second organisation selected for given assignment is Community Broadcasting Association of Australia which is regarded as the peak body as well as national representative for television stations and community radio in Australia (Chen, Fan & Zhao, 2021). It is regarded as an industry trade group and charity working with purpose of community broadcasting peak organisation. This is providing leadership, support, and advocacy for members to provide service, build and strengthening local communities. The business provides support as well as advice community broadcaster to solve arising issues. The staff focus on providing services related to broadcasting to their community and meeting their requirements. The physical presences of a business are its employees, services, and others to accomplish desired goals and objectives. External influencing impact on business is due to threats of competitors, lack in using technology to conduct activities. The main components of structure of organisations are its departments, reporting relationship, and coordinating activities. In addition to this, Community Radio Network has expanded services for Digital Delivery Network (DDN). Such a project will allow for the community to record as well as replay programs, music and interviews to contribute stations within the network.
It is important to know about internal and external strengths & weaknesses, and opportunities & threats to know about the market condition for business to carry out activities and operations (Formicola & et. al., 2018). The SWOT analyses for two organisations are as follows:

Risk register is defined as a tool in managing risk as well as project management (Tian & et. al., 2018). This is used for identifying potential risks in projects or businesses that meet with compliance at potential issues to gain outcomes. Different types of risks create a problem for business to carry out their set activities and operations. These risks need to be identified properly and proper strategies and policies should be made to gain the best outcomes. The different types of risk faced by Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) are as follows:
The report concluded that it is important for business to make strategic plans to conduct activities and operations. This leads to making changes from current to future state for the accomplishment of desired goals and objectives. The two organisations provided the current state of business, SWOT analysis, and business model canvas. The proposed plan for second organizations are building a healthy environment to broadcast to community, growing capability and sustainability stations, and strengthening capability for CBAA to provide leadership. The main key stakeholders are customers, employees, managers, and technical managers. Risks faced by business are network security concern, advent of various media channels and other. For knowing about category of risk, preparation of risk register is done.
The main recommendations provided to business are to conduct market research for adopting changes and effectively attain better results. For adoption, proper training and development should be provided to staff to carry out work and attain results. This is recommended to second organizations to analyze changes made in business and accordingly allocate them to their workforce and play different roles to achieve them. The risks are faced by businesses should be identified in terms of consequence and likelihood for the accomplishment of set results.
