Discuss about the Research Proposal for Change Management.

Answer:

Introduction

Business Research Topic

The field of change management is an interesting field. This research work would focus in the broad area of change management. Change is a vital aspect in the organization and without it; it can cause crucial issues for the organization. Smollan, (2016) shares the affect change can have on the organization. When change is not prevalent in the organization, it can cause stress on employees and cause the organization to be vulnerable to change.  With stress and anxiety present, can cause change to cause the organization to decline because organizational members to not know how to effectively enforce and handle change. Since this is so, change must be a tool that is always seen and practice so when critical change is needed all organizational members can take change on and effectively maneuver through the process the change may bring (Taylor, 2013).

Some of the most significant elements that ensure successful change is the presence of continual change and disruptive and innovation change (Daft, 2015).  These elements relate to organizational change because with continual change is puts the organization in the mindset that change always needs to be present and the organization needs to be ready for swift transitions to keep up with technological, social, economic, and governmental changes to stay competitive in the marketplace (Kuipers et al., 2014).  This then allows the organization to have change on the mind at all times and have steps in place to enforce change when needed.  Disruptive and innovation change relates to organizational change because it allows the organization to keep abreast of what technologies and other tools are needed to stay progressive.  By keeping up with these aspects, allows change to exist in a most effective manner by introducing change strategies and slowly but surely replacing the old with the new and relevant (Daft, 2015).

In tis research work, the researcher would have three key questions. The specific research questions of this research work can be discussed as:

Research Questions

  1. What are the internal and external factors that are vital for effective change management process in the organization?
  2. How can organizations ensure that that can manage the internal and external drivers of change?
  • What is the role of effective leadership in the process of change management for organizations?

Research Methodologies & Techniques

There would be various elements of research methodologies. This research work start with the initial hypothesis and the entire research would be built on the initial hypothesis. The research hypothesis of this research work can be discussed as:

Research Hypothesis

The initial research hypothesis of this research work is that change management could be effective for organizations when the management can take all the internal and external stakeholders together to drive the change in the organization.

The dependent and independent variables for this research work can be discussed as:

Independent variable: The key independent variables for this research work would be role of leadership in the organization, stakeholders’ management, and conflict avoidance among employees.

  2. The change management could have both internal and external drivers of trigger point.

In this research work, the researcher would use quantitative and qualitative research methods. The quantitative study would be part of primary research methods and qualitative study would be part of secondary research methods. These methods can be discussed in detail as below:

Primary Research Methods

The researcher would develop an online set of questions to conduct the primary Research Proposal help (Pickard, 2013). The online questions would be e-mailed to the respondents. The researcher would mail the specific questions to a selected sample of 100 people. The primary research methods would provide quantitative data.

Secondary Research Methods

The researcher would use the secondary research methods of literature review. The researcher would refer to various online and offline sources to complete the secondary research. The secondary research method would provide qualitative data.

Research Process for this Research

The various phases of the research can be discussed as:

Phase 1: Problem (Research Problem) Identification

The identified research problem for this research work is to identify the internal and external factors that are vital for effective change management process in the organization

Step 2: Background Study and specific Questions formulation

The research questions are identified for this research work. These are:

  1. What are the internal and external factors that are vital for effective change management process in the organization?
  2. How can organizations ensure that that can manage the internal and external drivers of change?
  3. What is the role of effective leadership in the process of change management for organizations?

Step 3: Secondary Research

It would be done to collect through literature review (Zikmund, 2012).

Step 4: Data collection and Data analysis

The primary research would be based on quantitative data and the secondary research would be based on qualitative data (Robson, 2011). SPSS and Microsoft Excel would be used to analyze the data.

Step 5: Results & Conclusion

The report would be developed in this phase.

Data Collection & Analysis Methods

The primary research would be based on quantitative data and the secondary research would be based on qualitative data (Robson, 2011). SPSS and Microsoft Excel would be used to analyze the data (Hair, 2007).

Expected Research Outcome

The expected outcome for this research work is the accomplishment of the three key research questions.
