Introduction

My research project is about health insurance fraud detection system. The main reason for the implementation of this project proposal is to help in gapping the risks in insurance companies that are caused by false claims. The examination will be done based on the accuracy and the effectiveness of this project before implementation. (Blair, 2020)

Health Insurance Fraud Challenges

Health insurance companies in Canada are experiencing a lot of false claims by system users. These claims have been challenging as they are causing big losses to the organization both in the public sector and in the private sectors. With increase use of internet technologies, it is shocking that crime rates due to insurance false claims are increasing in the country. There are emerging impacts of insurance frauds on the companies and include the following; Loss to the company and trust by the customers will be lost. Loss of manner by the insurance companies because of frauds may lead to closure of these companies or service delivery may be compromised or slowed down.  The rate at which these incidences are happening is very high because of the increase speed in internet technologies such as increase in speed.

Health Insurance Fraud Detection Software

Software engineers have been engaging themselves on busy schedules to make sure that this gap is reinstated. Artificial intelligence systems have been implemented to combat with this kind of system and network defects. A solution that is based on machine learning has been developed to help in health insurance fraud detection. Different algorithms have been applied in the implementation of these systems. Upon detection of any fraud or false claim on the internet, the systems user receives an alert message telling them that fraud has been detected, block it before causing damages or losses to your system. In the implementation process requires the need to be done in a series of stages where every stage is tested for its workability. The project will be consisting of system analysts, programmers and system administrators. (Blair, 2020). Each of the above-mentioned employees will work on the proposed system within the scheduled timelines

The Benefits of Health Insurance Fraud Detection System

Because of the increase security challenges in ICT infrastructure there is need for developing systems that will assist in the detection of Cyber-Criminals. Increasing internet security tools to help in fraud detection within the insurance companies is in high demand. In this project, the proposed solution will help in reducing fraud cases and hence minimizing the loss of money by insurance companies through fraud cases. When someone is trying to make false claim, the system will be able to use and apply trained data to detect malicious activities that may happen on health insurance systems.
