I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface

These two lines are almost all. These lines represent the exact depression. People always try to impress and expect something from others. But then, if one does not get what people expect, one start to feel low, they start to disregard themselves, the writer (if considered as an entity here) starts feeling hideous, people start to blame others and everything.

Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes

The writer gives his heart and soul to fit in and to be the exact person someone wants us to be. He forgets who he is, and often blames others for trying to change him, but they only manipulate his use in reality. He tried to change himself, and if he should blame anyone for anything, then he should blame himself for trying to fit. He was frustrated of the fact that he cannot become what he aims at – instead he has to become the individual, someone else wants him to be.

Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)

The writer is tired of the fact that whatever he does, gets critiqued by others – therefore he calls the same as a mistake accepted by others. A dark undertaking is created that can be said as a hole of the feeling of loss and remorse after unannounced relationships have become unknown and "mean." However, they still expect this person in our lives, even if they are really hurt. He still talks about the person nicely, the writer says, and doesn't want to hurt him/her. He will always try his best to get the person who was a "good guy" and "careful," but they tend to push us as far as possible and it hurts like crazy every time he tries to impress them!

I've become so numb

I can't feel you there

Become so tired

So much more aware

The body is always sad, the author feels nothing around us. The brain is especially obsessed with how the person is returned and loved by him. It seems like nobody else is for him and he only feels empty, empty, the dusk of constant sadness, alias mental illness, i.e. well-known for being depression! the author is tired.

I'm becoming this

All I want to do

Is be more like me

And be less like you

The author explains that he wants to become what he wants himself to be and not like what is expected from him by others.
