Screening is regarded as an assessment process which helps the teachers or individuals determine who are at the risk of meeting the goal of the learning outcome for requires proper training for gaining effective knowledge. Similarly, a screening test is performed as a preventive measure which helps in determining any potential health issue or disease present within any individual by understanding their signs and symptoms.  The purpose of the screening procedure is to detect the condition in an early stage and thereby helping the individual for reducing the risk of developing disease and providing proper treatment in time. Some of the types of screening are liquid based cytology which helps in detecting potential listens present in the cervical cancer or any kind of colonoscopy which helps in detecting the presence of colon cancer (cdc.gov, 2021). The screening program is much more tailored towards individual who are at a higher rate of developing any condition or who will be benefited from being screened.  For example, screening test is not a diagnosis for any type of disorder for example it helps in determining the presence of any kind of infection present in the body prior to the development of the disease for infection (cancer.gov, 2021).  Screening test are usually focused upon condition which may be fatal or might have serious impact upon the mental or physical disability. The cost of providing screening program is waived up against the benefits of catching the disease it helps in early detection of any condition and thereby reduces the cost of care and it also reduces the risk of developing complications.

The screening process helps the researchers to determine the effectiveness of any intervention for the severity of any disease which needs proper attention for implementing treatment.  The screening process helps in determining the patient's beneficial treatment from starting from treatment still the later stages and thereby it reduces the cost of treatment by lowering the chance of complications.  Screening process helps in improving the quality of life specially among the people belonging to lower social economic classes as the cost of treatment is found to be reduced through early detection of the symptoms. The screening process also helps in gaining a specific city and sensitivity of certain condition based upon which true positive or high sensitivity result can be determined (Gilbert, 2021).  The test can also classify people who do not have disease and termed as true negative which helps in understanding the exact age group which is affected with the disease or any certain symptoms which is mostly present among the population. 

It has been also found that the screening process has two disadvantages such as it often fails to determine any signs of cancer present among the patient but the patient is suffering from cancer in an asymptomatic phase.  The reliability of the study can be determined and it needs to be assessed properly through proper screening method is implementation of biasness can hamper the results and thereby developing false-positive results. Sometime any screening process such as screening of genetic disorders might affect the patient specially the newborn as it might harm the unborn child. Screening process must only be done for diseases which have serious consequences for benefiting the people for maintaining proper health. (Bolarinwa 2015)
