Psychological Consideration For Cocaine And Cannabis Substance Abuse

Cocaine and cannabis are the most highly addictive drugs expanding and used worldwide for Drug And Culture Management, and it is becoming a highly challenging issue for the mental health and it affect the health for short-term and long-term. Body structures and systems are continually fluctuating to create equilibrium and balance, for optimum working of all dynamic structures and systems through the physique. In the case indigenous population a culture based intervention would be more appropriate, such as nurses can perform something like ceremonial practice like welcome home ceremony that will help the patient welcomed in home and a sense of support through the community could be developed in the patient.  This approach could be further developed in the community setting as more and more individual could be motivated to join the morning ceremony as an intervention strategy for care against cannabis and cocaine abuse ( Rowan, et al., 2014).

Another approach that nurses could take as an intervention for the patient with cannabis or cocaine abuse issue is provide some sort of  motivational contest with the help of local community association and health care institution. One of the program that has been running for smoker to motivate them to quit smoking is “(Stay) Quit To Win Nunavik” although the program is for the smoker, however, nurses and the associated community and healthcare services can take inspiration from the same to start a program that would motivate the abuse patient to quit the habit of cannabis and cocaine (Wolfson, et al., 2020).
