Importance Of Human Rights

Human rights are the basic and the fundamental rights that are enjoyed by the humans. These rights are the key and the essential values that the people have in their lives such as respecting others, living with dignity and quality. The human rights in an individual’s lives are very important since it protects them room any sort of discrepancy or abuses and negligence. It is essential that the people should be aware of their human rights, because it allows the humans to stand up against the societal corruption or any kind of discrimination. According to Freeman (2017), it governs the safety of the humans. Further, the human rights encourage the people for equal work opportunities and allow them their choices and access to their basic necessities.

Race As An Issue

Race is still a very important issue in the American society and also in many workplaces. Yes, it should not be an issue definitely, but the black people mostly suffer from the racial issues. The recent example can be the slaughtering of George Fly, by the White policeman, for which the Black Lives Movement has emerged. The back people, or even the brown skinned are still deprived of their basic rights, and are marginalized in the common society. As per the discussion of Carmines & Stimson (2020), people consider them to be still unlucky or the wrong people, who take advantages. These people still remain the disadvantaged, and face several issues in school and colleges. This is because of the mindset of the people, and because the white supremacy still enjoys the authority and power.

Comments On Racial Basis

The black skinned people still face racial bias. Most importantly, it has been discussed by Williams & Wyatt (2015), that the back people suffer from health care bias. They remain disadvantaged in this sector and do not receive equal and deserved treatments . Racial bias has not only been limited to the black people being disadvantaged. Instead, they suffer from stereotypical behavior as well as racial profiling. Most of the back people are barred from getting proper health care and medical treatments, educational facilities, and also work or professional life facilities. Apart from this, the negative comments and the statements that they have to receive in public are the most common examples of racial bias and discrimination.

Handling Racism

As per my opinion, racial discrimination and racism can only be reduced or stopped if the people start consider other people as humans. The white people need to understand that every individual has an individual identity which should be respected. According to Szymanski & Lewis (2016), they should be allowed to live with dignity. Moreover, the people should treat everyone equally and not consider negative about them. It is very important that the workplaces and the schools or the other institutions not to think negatively about the black people and give them their deserved equal facilities.
