Introduction 

The use of virtual machines has made some processes to be easier than before. This is because virtual machines make the process of moving data from one component to another to be very easy. Creating a new virtual machine is not any more complicated than moving information from one computer to another. The use of templates in the virtual machines technology has made it easier for admins to able to create new machines without tampering with their data. Aside from copying information from one disk to another admins can use virtual machines to make the data copy within a few minutes. This report explains the step-by-step process that can be used in copying information from one computer device to another without tempering with the initial information that was stored on the machine previously. Different kinds of virtual machines will be used in this case. The Ubuntu server will be cloned using VMware software and the virtual box software this can be how in the following sections.

Cloning 

Backing up information even before the innovation of virtualization was necessary. The amount of information that different kinds of systems handle today is huge and it grows day by day. There various way so backing up information but people prefer the one which is simple and reliable. The normal process of backing up information from one computer is the process by which users copy information from their main computer to the external storage center. In the current world, the most preferred way of backing up information is through the use of cloud platforms like amazon and good driver.

Virtualization has made the process of backing up data d be more simple through cloning. Instead of the user backing up information from the driver to another disk. He can simply create another virtual disk through cloning. The outcome of the process is that another machine will be created and the machine will have all the features just like though the feature of the parent machine. The process is more simple as compared to other processes that are used in backing up information. And is more simple to create a virtual machine from the one that has already been created it takes time than installing another afresh. The process can be performed as shown in the following sections.

Conclusion 

The process of creating a virtual machine from an existing machine saves a lot of time that can be taken in installing the new machines in the same environment. The cloning process requires one to have something to clone. This means that the user should have a VM  machine that he will use to create the clone.
