GEOG3900 Global Climate Change Causes and Consequences

Introduction

Global warming, time is ticking down and this thing is increasing day by day. It is for sure the most used word among scientists, doctors, world leaders and maximum age groups across the world. Global warming is all about increase in temperature of earth which is causing a lot of trouble to human race.Impact of Global warming is not at all good and it is just making human life tough and increase in temperature is changing the climate to another dimension. It has been seen that Global Warming has causes in some cold places turn hot places and which is eventually leading to giving birth to new diseases. A nurse role becomes very important in time where global warming is at its peak as they will be spreading awareness about the Global Warming among the patients. Nurses have to take care of the patients and also keep themselves updated (Nicholas & Breakey, 2017).The study is all about the impact of Global Warming and how world leaders will be taking measurable steps against the same, The big things is Global Warming is affecting every country in the world and it has to been how the countries deal with this.

Global Warming Impact on International Communities

Global warming as the word Global means for every country across the globe, impact has been seen all across the Globe. Global Warming has resulted on migration of people from all over the world, especially people who live near coastal areas. The one big reason is increase in temperature has led to glacier getting melted and that is increasing the water level in oceans, which is leading people to leave the areas which is getting covered by in last few years. Rise in average temperature is already giving signs of worries to world leaders. It is also having impact on Economies of many countries (Desmet & Hansberg, 2015).

Impact on Communities in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is a country which is having a lot of impact of Global warming and one of the big reasons is ecosystem of the country and they are highly sensitive. The thing is community in Saudi Arabia are facing tough challenges (Islam, Alharthi, & Murad, 2021)

Health related issues

It has been seen that there is significant increase in health issues as it is tough to sustain human body at high temperature. Temperature was always on higher side in Saudi Arabia but now it is reaching new height as well (Dwortzan, 2020).

Increase in Sea level

As large part of boundaries of Saudi Arabia is connected with water bodies, increase in sea level is also felt in Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia and people from coastal boundaries are migrating to a safe place (Hereher, 2016).

As reported by MIT News on October 29, 2020, Saudi Arabia is facing increase in heat and humidity in middle of the century. The impact can be seen as heat and humidity are reaching new levels and making it tough for the people to live (Dwortzan, 2020).

According to Climate Action Tracker, there will be at least 3* C to 5*C in next century and it is worry signs already (Climateactiontracker, 2020)

International Response to Global Warming

Top world leaders are coming together and discussing this issue and making sure that they are able to control the rise in temperature and this can be good response. Both developed nation and developing nation are coming together to stand against. This is an issue which has been discussed among top leaders as top priority case among other issues as it something which is directly linked to humanity and can cause lot of issues. Even in UN Climate Action Summit 2019 many things were discussed and future plans were discussed and they were determined to work together against Global Warming (Downie, 2020).

Saudi Arabia Response to Global Warming

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is trying too hard to decrease the emissions by upgrading refineries so that they can produce cleaner fuels and less emission comes out from it. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is also supporting increase in solar energy usage by people so that more of green tagged products are implemented and less impact on Global warming is caused (Petraglia, Guagnin, Guagnin, Breeze, & Boivin, 2020).

• Global warming is international issue and causing headache among all the top leaders across the globe.
• Causing Increase in Temperature in many parts of the world and average temperature has increased a lot in recent times.
• People Are migrating from coastal areas as water is occupying that land.
• World leader are coming together to fought against this global issue and have pledged to fight this together.
• Saudi Arabia adopted solar policy and new infrastructure to reduce emissions, this will help in decrease emission amount in Saudi Arabia

Nurse Role towards the Society

It has been seen the health department has been quite busy since last few years. A nurse role is just not about taking care of the patient as it is also about understanding how Global Warming can have impact on one’s health. Nurses should also preserve the dignity and should be promoting equality among patients.  Nurses should also attend seminar about Global Warming so that they can have enough of knowledge. Nurses should also spread awareness about Global Warming among their patients so they can be aware about this Global Issue. Nurses should encourage patients to be prepared for this Global Warming issue at their home (Schnur, 2019).

Conclusion

It has been seen that Global warming is having big impact on all countries across the globe and now steps to International governing council as well as Saudi Arabia are taking some effective actions to reduce it. Nurse role has become more important as they will be taking care of the society as cases of dehydration have increased due to increase in temperature.

It is time to take some Rapid action plans against the Global Warming issues as time is running down and they way earth temperature has gone up it could be end very soon. Nurse will be playing an important role as well alongside Global leaders and some good plans are much needed to save Earth.
