Argument review

In my assessment, I have written that the negative impact of social media is greater on teenagers. During this project, I have studied many articles and journals of famous psychologists and I came to know that though social media have many advantages, many features for users, maximum teenagers got affected by the negative side of social media. From the article of Anderson, M., & Jiang, J which is “Teens, social media & technology 2018" it has been seen that teens are getting more attracted by social media and in result, they are getting distracted from own life and career, also they are getting depressed and anxious for lack of proper sleep.

Challenges faced

At the time of the preparation for this project, it was not so much easy to find out a proper genuine article. I found so many options about the advantages and uses of social media, but it takes too much time and effort to fund out the supporting journal for this argument. Many of the articles were not properly said the standpoint. Then I have search in the e-book library and after much researches, I have completed this project. This challenging part was as interesting as helps to gain more knowledge.

Exploration of the issue

Regarding this project, I have studied many books to know more about social media impact and after getting the article of Nesi, 2018 I got excited to know more about this and started to explore this subject. I got involved with this project to know the bad effects of social media and after knowing the details I was getting very disturbed. I want to know more as I can help teenagers not get affected by digital media setting reasonable limits.

After studying many types of the journal and searching in google I was able to explore this argument. These “The association of adolescent Facebook behaviours with symptoms of social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and depression” by Muzaffar, N., Brito, E. B., Fogel, J., Fagan, D., Kumar, K., & Verma, R. help in my study a lot.  This research shows how teenagers got affected by excessive usage of Facebook and other social media platform and as result, they are feeling depressed, anxious and other harmful symptoms. I choose this journal article because it is included with today's all the verified news and big issues and after reading I also understand the project deeply.

For supporting an argument, we need to maintain Aristotle’s appeal that is pathos which means emotions, ethos which means ethics and logos which means logic.
