1. Three things that were found to be most useful to me after reading through Early Year Developmental Framework are:

• Guiding principles: the guiding principles in the early year developmental framework tends to constitute the foundation of EYDF to reinforce and support the interest of the toddlers, infants, and children in the care centres. The principles can be used by the Edu carers by anchoring in child development literature, research evidence, good practices, neuroscience, and UNCRC (Early childhood development agency, 2021). The guiding principles in EYDF also state the role of the families, Edu carers, and the community which promotes the holistic and comprehensive development of the child. Five guiding principles are most useful:
• Firstly, the guiding principles can be used by Edu carers for development of confidence and securing attachments in infants with their nurturing adults. The second principles help in generating opportunities that are developmentally and culturally appropriate for the holistic development of children and this can be used by Edu carers in providing them learning in a healthy and safe environment (Early childhood development agency, 2021). The third principle commits to ethics and professional standards in working with families, children, and Edu carer’s professional development. The fourth principle involves partners or the families for the care, education, and holistic development of the children so according to this principle Edu carers can involve the families of the children for their development. The fifth and the last principle engages the community as resources and support for centres and homes.   

• Suggested practices: The second most useful thing is the suggested practices. The suggestions or the suggestive practices play an important role in the development of the child as it helps Edu carers in achieving the desired outcomes for the infants. The suggestive practices used in EYDF are intended to foster the growth of the children, their learning and development, and Edu carers can create an environment of purposeful learning for the children. The suggested practices are comprehensive and the Edu carers can add their ideas and thoughts as well (Early childhood development agency, 2021).
• Play as learning: The third most useful thing is that how play is used as a tool for learning. Play is useful for toddlers and children as at their early ages, they are only known to paying activities with the help of their five senses which helps them to explore the world and develop. Edu carers can use fifferent types of activities of play which will help children in their overall development (Early childhood development agency, 2021).

When working with the children centers, questions can arise regarding how to use the early year developmental framework. Few questions that can arise are:

• How to foster a deposition for the development and the learning of children and infants?

According to the framework of early year development, when children or toddlers demonstrate the things like shows interest in new activities, persists or face challenges regarding different things, examine, discover and tries new ideas using play, seeks the new information verbally or non-verbally, gets engaged in the materials provided to them, pursues and extends their own interest with much concentration and enthusiasm, shows interest in environment and various stimuli and many other than the Edu carers or the service providers facilitate learning by undertaking activities like making time for children for unstructured free play daily, expose those children to different genres of books, plan activities and learning environment for those children that are open-ended and flexible for them, encourage the children to use their five senses to observe and explore the things around them, provides children with opportunities to build and take apart the materials and the resources from them, present materials with various properties like colours, size, shape and textures (Hoel & Mason, 2018). Moreover, Edu carers help them by providing them the experiences that engage them in a wider environment and community beyond the early settings of childhood which includes beaches, parks, neighborhoods, supermarkets, and many more.

• What activities can be included in engaging the children to help them with their freedom and space in EYDF?

Young children and infants are in the most need of freedom and space to move, play and practice their skills with the help of various activities. Children can be engaged in different activities. The activities that call for varying movements can include bouncing, walking, crawling, jumping, balancing, climbing, and many more (Early childhood development agency, 2021).The movement activities can also include using equipment, toys, and different materials. Even for growing the gross motor skills of children, lightweight blocks can be provided to them for building structures. Moreover, dramatic and social plays can be helpful for children as they help them in understanding themselves about the things and world around them. Realistic props like dressing up, cooking and many others can be used as a source of dramatic plays. Edu carers can build opportunities for organizing dramatic plays for children like equipping play areas with various props which can include toys, telephones, vehicles, pots, clothes, furniture, mirrors, and many others. These activities help children in maintaining and stimulating the interest of children followed by providing them their freedom and space for different activities (Early childhood development agency, 2021).

• How the physical and mental health can be kept hygienic in EYDF among young children?

Children, in general, are in a need of good nutrition, good hygiene, and exercises to be fit and physically healthy at their early ages (Hoel & Mason, 2018). Edu carers can take the children outdoor in the playgrounds or for a walk which can serve as a good change of environment for them and help them to remain physically fit. Physical activities can be carried out in keeping them fit on regular basis. activities can include dance, exercises, playing and many others which can be carried out in both, that is, indoor and outdoor environments (Hoel & Mason, 2018). Other than this, Edu carers can adhere to good hygiene practices that can help in decreasing the chances for children from getting ill. Edu carers also provide education related to hygiene to the young children when working in centers like informing them about washing hands, keeping things cleans, and many others (Early childhood development agency, 2021). Hand washing monitors are appointed in the centers as it allows the children in reminding them to wash their hands frequently which ultimately helps them in keeping their mental and physical health hygienic.
