Entity Modelling

Entity relationship modelling uses real life object to represent it as entities, attributes and relationship between them. For developing the design for Safe and Sound package delivery, first the identification of the entities and their attributes are necessary activities (de Sousa and Cura 2018). The identified entities which will fulfil the data requirements criteria for the mobile application are:

1. User
2. Cart
3. Weather data
4. Booking
5. Drones
6. Item
7. Address
8. Payment
9. Delivery details

Business Rules

With the help of the business rules for the Safe and Sound package delivery, the relationships between the entities can be defined (Kheirabadi et al., 2019). Business rules help the process to work as a certain pattern and requirements. The business rules for the Safe and Sound package delivery can be given as follows:

1. Each user can make many carts at different points of times in the app. Each cart is only associated to one and only one user.
2. Each user can be associated with many addresses. However, each address belongs to one and only one user.
3. Each cart can have one delivery and each delivery is associated with one and only one cart.
4. Each delivery has pickup and delivery address which are associated with the address saved by the users.
5. Each cart has one or many items. Similarly, each item can be included in one or many carts.
6. Each drone can deliver many deliveries. Each delivery is delivered by one and only one drone.
7. Each delivery is associated with one and only one weather type. On other hand, each weather type can be observed in one or many deliveries.
8. Each delivery is associated with one and only one payment details. Similarly, each payment detail is associated with one and only one delivery.

Customer Journey Map

A customer journey map (also know as user journey map) is a process of creating a visualization which represents the customer’s interaction with the system (Mucz and Gareau-Brennan 2019). In this scenario, the customer journey map is shown to represent the interaction between user and Safe and Sound package delivery mobile application. It helps in improving the system from both business and customers’ perspective.

Activities	User Visits to home page of the app and register themselves.	User Registers themselves using basic information.	User login into the ap using credentials.	User selects items to be added in the cart for delivery.	User proceeds for the booking.	User enters, pick up location, delivery location and contact person information.	User makes payment using third party secure gateway to confirm booking.
Emotions	Great, this apps look good to get deliver stuffs.       😊	I like that I can use my email for registering.     😊	This app is missing a lot feature.       ☹	I wish all weight options can be seen here.     😐	Great I can proceed booking from my cart.   😉	It is good to see that I can set both the addresses and delivery contact person’s phone number. 😊	I wish other payment options are also available for payment.     😐
