Answer:-

The main aim of this paper is to study and analyze the theories proposed by Albert Bandura and Carl Rogers, two well established theorists is the field of sociology who have made significant contributions towards understanding the different processes involved in child development and learning. Child development is a very important part of the growth process of a young child. A variety of different factors impact this process in a negative manner (Cullen et al., 2017). This impacts the understanding and learning processes which an integral part of child growth and development.

Albert Bandura, a celebrated scholar in the field of sociology and he proposed the theory of social learning which is of high importance in sociology. The social learning theory states that individuals observe, model and imitate behavior of other individuals in the society. Thus, the main claim of this theory is that the behavior of an individual is significantly impacted by their environment through the method of observational learning (Fox, 2017). Children are no exception to this either. In their early years children model the behavior of the people that they see frequently and the different behavioral traits learned from interaction with these individuals significantly influences their personality. On the other hand, Carl Rogers claims that there are three different aspects to the personality of an individual are self-esteem, self-image and ideal self. Rogers claims that these are three aspects of an individual’s personality and are impacted by their immediate environment (Chwialkowska, 2019). This theory of sociology also impacts the personality and behavior of a child significantly. The different people that a child observe shapes their self-esteem levels and behavioral patterns. As a result, the influence of these factors on the personality of these children is severe. Therefore, it can be seen that both Albert Bandura and Carl Rogers and the social theories proposed by them are extremely effective in the field of Early Years Learning Framework or child development.

Both the theories of Albert Bandura and Carl Rogers are very effective in the field of developmental child psychology. The Early Years Learning Framework is a theoretical model that predicts the outcomes of an effective development of a child in their immediate environment (Sellers, Cochran & Winfree, 2017). That is, if a child grows up under positive influences in his environment, then their chances of achieving each of these Early Years Learning Frameworks (ELYF) outcomes. In the Social Learning theory proposed by Albert Bandura, he claims that children often observe and model their behavior based on the individuals who they spend the maximum time with. In a positive environment, children often develop a strong sense of identity. This encompasses questions like who they are and what their culture is. Getting to develop thoughts like this is positively impacted if the social learning theory is used here to positive effect (Carvajal Soto et al., 2019). On the other hand, if the Carl Roger’s social theory is discussed in this aspect, then it can be seen that the aspect of self-image and is development plays a very important role in the development of their identity. It helps them understand who they are and what their culture is. Proper social learning is implemented when these young children are able to be connected to the society that they live in and contribute to the same in some way (Du et al., 2019). This is the second learning outcome that is outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework. Both theories by Albert Bandura and Carl Rogers in this paper supports this outcome. In order to be able to understand the different ways to interact with the society as well as contribute to the same, the children have to try to do the same. This process is aided by the result of the social learning theory, when different individuals around a child talk about the society and their place in the same, the child follows a similar behavior (Chen et al., 2021). The children become more independent and develop a strong sense of self. They become confident and involved learners and are not afraid of venturing into new concepts and topics if the Early Years Learning Framework (ELYF) is followed. From the different points that were mentioned it can be clearly seen that both the social theories that were put forward by two different authors, Albert Bandura and Carl Rogers are very significant for children. This is because it aids the process of child development and discusses how the Early Years Learning Framework outcomes more efficiently (Kam, Zhang & Shen, 2018). Upon having discussed the relation between these 3 different factors, it was seen that efficient implementation of the social learning and behavioral theories and models plays a very important role in the development of a child. It was seen that achieving the different ELYF learning outcomes, the most important influence is that of the environment of a child and the different individuals that they interact with in their immediate surroundings. These things influence the developmental process of a child significantly.

Throughout the Bible a number of different verses were identified that talks about child development and the importance of the same. One particular verse from Matthew says that, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.’ Therefore, the children are of very high importance in heaven. In another verse (Proverbs 22:6) it was outlined that in order to raise a child as best as possible, the process of learning should be initiated at very young age. A verse (Hebrews 12:6) also talks about the discipline that a child should have in order to become a great human. However, one of the most important information is provided in a verse of the Bible (Proverbs 16:32) that all adults should keep their emotions in control when instructing a child to do anything. Other verses throughout the Bible claim that a child should develop emotional maturity and strive to be a good individual contributing to this society. But above all, one particular Bible verse (1 John 3:1) stands out in this aspect. This verse states how a parent should love their child unconditionally in all situations (Priolo, 2019).
