We have arrived at the age of bring your own device where during the implementation, challenges start. Information technology department has tried hard to ensure that data will be delivered to the end user. Personal laptops, smartphones, and tablets are used by end users to bring about productivity while having much experience in computing (Campbell, Di Lorenzo and Tartari, 2017). Information technology will be able to control the consumerization phenomenon only by administrators setting good policies and having the right equipment in the place. To design commonwealth mobility policy, information technology has to take a great part in finding some solution that will ensure effectiveness of mobility policy. This is due to customers, employees, and organization desire to have mobile services. Customers desire to access commonwealth bank services over their smartphones. On the other hand, employees are feeling to work at their comfort. All this desires has given the information technology department work of develop related mobile application. Therefore, this paper aims at discussing how mobility policy in commonwealth bank organization will be designed to ensure end user enablement as the same time the policy must be manageable, secure, user friendly, and enforceable.
Commonwealth bank organization is a voluntary association of 54 equal and independent countries. It serves many people worldwide including from both developing countries and advanced economies. Members of the organization work together to bring peace and democracy, protection to the environment, prosperity promotion, and to amplify voice of small states. Due to rise use of technology, commonwealth being a multinational organization tries all means to fight the global security challenge. The organization is the leading Australia provider of integrated financial services that include; institutional and business banking, superannuation, investment, management of funds, and insurance.
The organization face insider threats as the biggest security challenge. The devices used by employees’ bring about this insider treats. It happens when organization change employee towards goods security behavior. The process will bolster the organization defenses against the rise case of breaching (Shaheen., et al, 2019). Commonwealth bank organization has been facing challenge with passwords. Cybercriminals has powers to guess passwords of any organizational devices whenever they user loss passwords. Passwords should be strong and something new to avoid cases of a third guessing our passwords correctly. Short passwords also can be known easily. Passwords is the best solution of keeping away someone from accessing your information or organization information. Having strong and somehow long and new passwords will solve the challenge of cybercriminals interrupting organization work.
Commonwealth bank organization has to extend its systems to allow easy interaction between employees. Business, and consumers. Several mobile applications has be developed to enable every services to take place in the organization as well as enhancing end user enablement. The application are defined and discussed below.
Organization should not be working in traditional methods. Rather, they should adopt policies that will make the working environment a better place. The policies will enable data sharing, productivity, security, effective cost management, and total support to the organization (Shaheen, Cohen and Farrar, 2019). Below are some of the ways in which the goal of the policy will bring impact to the organization.
Bring your own device (BYOD) must be allowed in the organization as it add more advantages for a better workforce. The policy will be very essential in managing personal accessibility of data thus avoiding being stolen on lost instances (Jacobson, Liu and Lagerholm, 2019). Commonwealth bank organization with the help of information technology skills will provide a software that will find a solution to the problem. The organization must provide a list of devices that will be allowed to access resources, data and other application. The organization will guide employees and consumers to maintain work data separately from personal data. In that case, the organization will provide all the needed policies.
Physical security will provide the organization with competitive tools that will sustain growth as they introduce considerable risk as a challenge due to its versatility. All the application enabled in the organization represents a way to a corporate network (Chang, Chen and Chen, 2019). To secure thus mobile systems, business must monitor assess of mobile device management, treat in mobile management, and the organization mobility management. To avoid related challenges, the organization much respond and try to recover all the data breach, cyber-attacks cases, and lost and stolen gadgets. Thus practices to meet the policy goal of commonwealth bank organization is cheap to achieve if only the security features can manage and control any risks which will be enhanced by the information technology team.
Commonwealth bank organization being a big organization serving people worldwide has a standard device that ensure performance of operations are equal. The standardization of the policy will be achieve by setting proper guidelines in regards to how the services in the organization is supported (Meng, Somenahalli and Berry, 2020). Such guidelines include the principles set by the organization where everyone in the business must adhere. Also the financial standards that ensure financial statements pass through the process thus bring relevant, comparable. And consistence information. In cases where the standardization are in end life, organization policies will fail thus irrelevant information obtained.

The requirements much include; Australian birth certificate, Medicare card, identity card, and a current passport (Sabourin, 2020). The policies are fair to everyone enabling the organization to meet its goal effectively.
Mobile applications working has many befits to the organization, employees, and consumers. While the devices are still in the hand, everything is secured. Cases of lost and stolen will create tense. To avoid all those, commonwealth bank organization is encouraged to have lost and stolen policy that will ensure everything is secured. Employees should have a comprehensive security plan that will keep everything safe in place (Siu, 2019). In case of any loss, everyone has to report so as to do the follow up cases. If the lost or stolen devices will have security policies, then data and everythi9ng will be sure safe from reputation damage (Canitez, 2020). lost and stolen policy should be applied to all devices used in the organization to avoid risks of losing information to unknown person who might destroy us in many ways including using our details inn other ways or damaging our reputation.
Mobile applications policies allow user to install their personal application but under condition of keeping their installed applications separately (Rychikhina and Zorik, p. 75). The application kept separately should not be assessed by the organization. A mess will lead to exposure of your personal information. It is only in some organization where the manager will restrict the installations of other application. Common wealth bank organization do not restrict thus giving everyone a free environment to work. This organizational mobile applications allow manage to access all the applications used by the team (Buchan., et al, 2019). He/ she is capable of deleting the application or can block the application not allowing the user to access the application. The policies is fair to everyone since the admin can run everything at once with his/ her device.
Users should not be allowed to use organizational machines. Excessive personal use might cause problems because the equipment’s are realistic in expectation (Kahlmeier,., et al, 2021). The organization might lose productivity as employees will be busy using the equipment’s intended to serve customers demands for their personal use. In that case, manager or admin should take over and block any personal user application from the organization equipment (Ball, Junemann and Santori, 2017). Employees will always use the machines for their personal even with high restriction from the organization policy. It is in that state the admin monitor how employees use the organization equipment Commonwealth bank being such a developed organization technologically has the ability to control everything the employees are doing with their tools.
Commonwealth bank organization allows employees to use devices with passcode. The password or any physical key will prevent unauthorized cases of access. This technological world cybersecurity cases are rising (Conitex., et al, 2020). To avoid related risks, everyone in the organization is encouraged to have an encryption to the information as well as organization information. The policy of having passcodes will ensure everyone served by commonwealth bank details are safe, they can access any time they need, and they are allowed to communicate to the organization freely as long as they keep their information secured under the policy.
Commonwealth organization mobility policy must have periodic wipe that will help the organization wipe out its information from employees devices without touching his/ her data in the same device (McKenzie, 2017). Periodic wipe also must be enhance in the organization machines. It help greatly in case any device is lost or stolen. It will be applied to delete every informational the devices thus the organization or employee information will not be exposed to thieves (García-Melero., et al 2021). Even in cases where wrong passwords is used several times continuously, periodic wipe is used to lock the process from going on by applying automatic wipe. All this processes allow security and related challenges be overcome.
Malware cause effect to devices in any organization. Also hacking can compromise of devices which happens even the knowledge of the end user. Serious problems arise due to compromised device. Once any device in an organization is notices to be compromised, the infrastructure staff will notify the information technology staff in charge of the help desk who will help contact the owner of compromised device and later refer them to the policy (Aguiar and Macário, 2017). It will be the duty of the information technology staff to identify and keeping monitoring cases of compromised devices where after contacting the owner, he/ she can block the device from access the organization network.
Commonwealth bank organization is not allowed to track employees’ location without their consent. It can only be done after the organization giving employee consents. Even though the there are this GPS technology that can be used to access employees where about the organization has unprecedented access (MAGGI, PANTELAKI and CROTTI, 2019). The organization track their employees without telling them. The organization believes of getting many benefits to the business by tracking employees. Whenever the tracking is done, it’s never good to the employees they are tracked because it will create a different tense not healthy for working environment (López and Montero, 2018). But in cases of anything like safety of employees, they will be informed.
Mobile device management just any other management in the universe, has become a main stay in all the enterprise environment. It has grown to be consumer driven in both function and form as they found running our every day to day activities. In the triangle of technology, people, and process, mobile devices take the basic understanding of it. Most companies’ have developed mobile policies to ensure that everything they run is safe and everyone involved can access. The policies has to be reviewed so as to account to all the policies in a given organization. Commonwealth bank being one of the biggest organization in the world adopted the style of mobile technology to ensure end user enablement.
