Introduction 

In the current assignment, a fully working application of an organization will be discussed. Along with this, certain discussion about what additional improvement can be done in the existing system will be discussed in detail so that it benefits both the application users along with the organization at the same time. The selected organization for this scenario is Foxtons Group plc. It is a British estate agency-based organization. It mainly deals with the lettings along with the sales of the same. The current functionalities include Valuation of ones property, Landlords and property management based systems for the renters as well. In addition to these, end of year tax statements can also be retrieved with ease. The following sections will detail about very simplistic and common problem that the users might face; which in the end effects the probable customers of the organizations.  

Problem statement 

Without any doubt the organization, Foxtons Group plc. provides  a huge varieties of services to personnel with land in their disposal. In addition to this the ‘to be’ land owners, i.e. the individuals who are planning to buy a piece of land or rent them can also use the existing application to support their respective causes. This includes services like online or on site property valuation, buying of property, and selling of property. It includes properties with homes as well. In case a person does not wants to buy or sell a property, rather wants to rent a property, it can also be successfully achieved. The renters can also manage and track their property-based management and transactions with ease. In addition to this this application supports special services like B2R and Institutional PRS and track their prime sales-based data. Inspire of all these service there are cases when the user of the application of the Foxtons Group plc organization are unable to find their needed task in a jiffy. For example, in case a person wants to download his or her end of year tax statements, every time he or she has to go to the ‘Money & Statements’ sections then they need to select ‘Tax Years’ sections; after that once the screen browses to the proper window, the user then needs select the ‘end of year statement’ and finally select the download section in order to successfully download the needed tax statement. If the application had features like quick link section or ‘Task Index’ section, this can be done with ease. Many elderly personnel with less digital communication skills might find this ‘browse through’ process hard and end up giving up on using the application and depend on another person for these tasks. In case this (quick link and Task Index) functionalities are successfully included, they can easily and directly browse to the needed section without any problem. These features can be implemented simply following the software development lifecycle. The steps includes the planning, analysis, Designing, Implementing, Testing, and Maintenance sections. It will be discussed in detail in the following sections.

Feasibility study and project plan 

Before discussing about the project feasibility and planning sections the new functionalities quick link section or ‘Task Index’ section are needed to be discussed to get a clear understanding about how it will benefit both the organization as well as the users. As the term states, quick link section will include the links of the application pages where the current user of the application uses in most of the time. As for the Task Index functionality, it will be pinned on the first index position of the quick link selecting which will lead the users to a separate page where all the functionalities of the application will be listed and hyperlinked in alphabetical order enabling the users to easily select the needed option from there without having to browse through different options. In the following section, feasibility analysis of the proposed system will be discussed in detail.

Feasibility Analysis 

The feasibility analysis of the proposed system is portrayed in the following diagram (Bhosekar & Ierapetritou, 2018):

The final conclusion of the proposed sections was be done by following the above feasibility structure of the system tasks (Mohamed, Lashway & Mohammed, 2017). The project planning stage started at 15th of March 2021. It will end on 29th July 2021during the last stages of maintenance stage. IN the next section the Requirement Analysis will be done from 11th April to 26th April for a span of 12 days. In Requirement analysis, Identifying requirements of Foxtons will be done from 15th March to 26th March. Next, documenting requirements and checking completeness will be done for 1 day which will start from 12th April and will end on the same day. The requirements will be validated on the single day which is the next day after that; i.e., 13th April.

The Design section will be done in a total of 23 days (Child & Breyer, 2016). Which will begin from 24th April and will end on 27th March. It is further divided into five section which includes, Understanding Foxton's requirement, Research and analysis, Prototype development, Evaluation, and demonstration of the finalized design. The first section will be done for 3 days, the second will be done for 4 days and the succeeding will be done for 10, 6, and 0 days.

Once the designing is done, the implementation stage starts. It is divided into four sections and will take around 15 days to complete. The process will be done from 28th May till 15th June. The steps includes, Developing plan and status identification, Phase testing, Execution and recording result, and finally acceptance test and test result reporting. Once, the testing is successfully done, the implemented solution is then maintained to provide any necessary updates to the solution. The Maintenance will be done for a total of 20 days It will start from 2nd July till 29th July. Th Steps included in this section are Managing updates, Adding new features, Increasing responsiveness, and reflecting towards continuous development. With this all the feasible analysis of the proposed system analysis is complete.

Cost benefit analysis

The cost for the whole development process is $ 5,000. As for the management processes of the project, it will cost about $ 2,000 (Boardman, Greenberg, Vining & Weimer, 2018). The Quality assurance costing will be $ 1,000. As for the user interface designing cost, it will be around $ 1,000. This will make a total budget of $ 9,000 for Sort-Safe (Volden, 2019).  The Detailed cost benefit analysis for all the NPVs of the respective years is as follows.

From this it can be stated that the project break-even occurs in between years 2 and years 3 (Yet et al., 2016). Hence, the project is feasible.
