Reflecting on myself after completing the exercise related to stress management, I have observed a huge change in my personality. The coping mechanism and the problem-solving techniques taught in the exercise have immensely helped me cut down on stress and anxiety. Money handling, time management, and electronic communication are the major issues that influence my mental health. The exercise base on stress identification and application of stress mitigating approaches have helped me to assess the issues which build up stress in me and further I could successfully formulate ways to mitigate such stresses and enhance my quality of living.
Stress is a fatigued state of mind, which influences the quality of living and creates great disturbances. Thus, problem-solving techniques are supposed to be implemented once the stress-causing issues are identified. In my case, the major issues, which cause stress, are money handling, time management, and electronic communication (Kassymova et al., 2018). Using the exercise I have successfully build up mitigating strategies. For money handling, I have started keeping income and expenditure records. I have made up effective time schedules including specified timings for indulging in electronic communication. These mitigation techniques using problem-solving abilities taught in the exercise to lower my stress level.
Coping mechanisms taught in the exercise have greatly helped me in coping with stressful situations and fatigued states of mind. I had taken up journaling and meditation in order to cope up with a stressed state of mind. Journaling has helped me to let out my emotions and thoughts, which in turn helped me to feel relieved (Gulzhaina et al., 2018). Furthermore following a meditation regime has helped me to have better control over my mind. Thus, it can be inferred that, applying appropriate coping mechanisms greatly helps in minimizing mental stress.
