Complementary medicine can be referred to as the type of medications that can be given for the medical practices such as massage, acupuncture and tai chi based medication therapy. Advantages of this technique:

The second can be pertained to the fact that the complementary therapies can be used for relaxation purposes and this helps in reduction of stress in the diseased individuals.

Disadvantages/Concerns:

The only concern or disadvantage that can be pertained to complementary therapy includes the lack of standardisation of the practices that are being used here. None of the standard format exists for guiding the medication based therapies (Medscape.com, 2018). The therapists are not having much training for this approach.
