It is evident that the Jehovah’s witnesses which comprises of almost 7.5million individual in the world is a well-known religion who denies for transfusion of blood due to certain specific believes and the components present in the blood. The followers of this religion were found to accept the surgical and medical treatment but refuses for blood transfusion. Hence, this religion people must be provided care with alternative therapies and provide education about the usefulness of blood transfusion in providing urgent care to the patient (Ringes & Hegstad, 2016). It is the responsibility of the nurses to provide the patient and the family member with proper care by maintaining their dignity and acknowledgement of the patient’s right needs to be done. The nurse must encourage the patient or the patient’s family to sign and witness advance directive card refusing blood and identifying which components is denied in blood transfusion process. The nurse must involve a transcultural nurse practitioner in this case who will explain the benefit of the blood transfusion system in reducing the critical condition. The nurse must also explain the patient’s family by involving them in a group of patients who already underwent blood transfusion and belongs to Jehovah’s religion community and this will act a peer support and help in adhering to the process (Bediako et al., 2021). However, the nurse can also try to provide the patient with alternative management which is acceptable for Jehovah’s witness patient such as fibrin glue, tranexamic acid and prothrombin complex concentrate.

The immunisation program is often hindered in many regions as they believe that the vaccination process is harmful and the unvaccinated children are much more harmful. The other reasons behind this are lack of proper knowledge of the parents related to vaccination process, lack of proper accessibility and unreasonable fear about vaccine safety. This process will increase the development of many infectious disease such as the rate of infectious disease is higher in United States. The disease such as diphtheria, rubella, smallpox, mumps, paralytic poliomyelitis and tetanus (Rodrigues & Plotkin, 2020). Recently, the rate of COVID-19 will also increase due to lack of proper vaccination process. It is the responsibility of the medical practitioners to provide the population with proper education about the benefits of the vaccination, the percentage of the rate of vaccination and the epidemiological data must be explained to the parents which will help in adhering to the vaccination process. The healthcare professionals must explain that the individual about the cost of treatment which will help in reducing the epidemiology (Ventola, 2016). Hence, proper community education must be provided in order to reduce the concept of traditional practice.
