Introduction:

The concept of dark, eerie, and mysterious exist in a gothic culture where revenge in gothic is generally not an unusual desire where a person is harmed psychically, by family or harmed to loved ones to make another person suffer. It is somewhat considered anti-catholic where an individual or a group of people opt for a different kind of belief rather than a religious belief like high, even overwrought emotion is believed to be considered in this kind of situations. They are generally isolated and involved in dark activities and very much part of this society just believes are different for any gothic follower. Now, revenge can be considered a dark part of this cult where someone is intentionally harmed and manipulated regardless of their consent. A kind of act that is intentional and pre-destined to harm someone for their past activities. It is an act of repayment where a person has done something wrong or cause harm to someone else. In the 1897 gothic horror novel Dracula, a fictional character named Van Helsing is the ultimate legend in this world of literature.

A part of literature that resides from a person's darkest fear and desires, a writing that is consists of dark imagination, dread, mystery, and exquisite picturesque scenery. In Gothic culture, revenge is notably prominent. Undeniably, Gothic’s has impeccable taste and they distinguish themselves from others through their unique way of expressing their way of having revenge. The level of power, confinement, and isolation gives a sense of admiration for this genre. The culture flourishes on horror and fear that takes revenge to an extent level.

Revenge isn’t all about killing someone it an about making someone’s life hell before taking the ultimate revenge. The classic yet unbearable concept of taking revenge certainly exists in this part of the literature (MacDonald). The killing is not their main intention but to make them suffer emotionally, mentally, and physically and yet staying alive. The ultimate way of revenge for gothic is killing their loved ones. The pain and the suffering a person goes through after losing their loved ones are not comparable to their death. The concept is pretty clear to their revenge the person on whom the revenge will be taken on should be alive to feel the pain (Matthew). Going with the traditional way of admiring revenge all the writers since the 18th century had chosen to, take romance as their theme of revenge and the stories goes well.

The uniqueness that they possess over, the villain, the ultimate bad guy of the story are derived from the Gothic culture, the accrues on with antagonist take revenge on the protagonist for taking his love away or fighting the activities the antagonist does then after the revenge the protagonist takes revenge back from the antagonist (Mubarki). The classic composition of the exquisite castle, clothes, fabrics, expensive wine, the action that mostly carries melodrama, or the supernatural intervention of dark magic that gives a classic soul-shivering view.

The revenge concept of Gothic has also marched from the 18th century to today branching out in music, dressing, culture, dining, movies, literature, and books. Still today people hugely appreciate the gothic concept and their contribution is some excellent masterpiece, carrying German history and making the unique path that today an ordinary person gets attracted to (MacDonald). Dracula can be considered as a Byronic hero and an evil character and these types of characters are far more interesting in the world of movies and books. These types of characters possess a charming approach towards portraying a strong character and charismatic impact on people’s minds. According to (Mubarki) Dracula was a representation ‘an embodiment of the feudal past’. The complication on understanding this subject has been a debatable topic so far, the acceptance has always been a big deal for the people who can relate themselves with this culture. Some people follow their culture the unique dressing styles and still in the business but differently yet struggle to make this 21st-century world accept them. The theme can are worldwide known and celebrated in Halloween where people dress up in Gothic avatar to celebrate their existence along with many movies and series are released every year to keep them in existence and also to keep people’s curiosity alive for Gothic. In general, the Gothic is all about dark dramatic makeup, and ironical lifestyle.

The gothic concept has a major contribution of suspense when it comes to their themed aspect. The level of suspense is higher any piece of literature will attract their viewer more, gothic is uncanny, different, not related to anything Catholics or any religion believes, mostly conceptual and dark. These are the types of Gothic that make people more interested in Gothic’s. The dark theme especially as it makes the whole view so antiquated, mysterious, and homogeneous features that give the catholic believers a different kind of perspective that is daunting. Gothic deeply depict things that are beyond ordinary where a witch can fly, a vampire exist, werewolf’s existed, where everything is black this keeps others on edge and makes them question their taste and their view towards life, the inability to understand a Gothic’s way of living is what makes them taboo to others.

Therefore, the conclusion stands on the concept of Gothic being a big part of the literature where they have genuinely presented the world as another of cultural discussion. Dracula, vampire, werewolf, witches, Devil, and many more gave unique and beautiful stories that have created a controversial topic, today, Gothic has become a cultural style that almost everyone enjoys (Brewer). Romanticism and dark desires are the result of such imagination. Although Gothic might be a part of the superstition and supernatural world in today’s generation Gothic is admired by so many people and curious too. Dreams, magic terrors, spells of mighty power, witches, and ghosts who rove at midnight hour (Lewis).  In Gothic’s cat plays a very important role as a sign or symbol of their own. The concept of Gothic’s presentation in this modern world is unique and fascinating indeed. They are differently going to live in the history of mankind even without existing actually.
