Person centred care (PCA) approach is referred to as the qualitative care that is being provided by the nurses to the older patients. The care is being providedthegeriatric patients and their respective families who are also the centre of this study. Person centred care approach is usually being conducted to gain the knowledge and understanding of the older patients and the implementing activities of the older people are also being cared for (Hendriks, van Vliet, Gerritsen, and Dröes 2016). The nature and the activities of the people who are being engaged with dementia or other types of mental health disorders is also being looked upon. The nursing care activators are also being looked upon in Person centered care approach. The effect of the nature of person-centred care approach should be investigated. Many of the non-pharmacologicalinterventions that are being provided bythe nurses are aimed at providing the foster care quality to the older people and their respective families. The older people are at more stake for receiving care.
In the person-centred care approach study that is being conducted for the older aged people, the language, beliefs and the personal cultural history of the patients are being assessed. The assignment here is pertained to engaging with the older adults for 3-weeks time period. The major core areas of the nursing plan care are being implemented for these patients on the basis of the observations that are being observed here in this study. Interventions that are being majorly involved included the interview questions that are being asked to the patients and their respective family members. All the conversations are being recorded in my personal notebook. The order of the questions is being set accordingly. It is also being improvised as how to end the discussion with the patient and drawing of conclusive summary for the patient that is being studied for. The three key needs of the patient are being assessed in the interview questionnaire and this also pertains to both the physical and the psychological needs of the patient.
Many of the useful tools are being used for the study that are used here. Thus, the summative interview responses are being considered and this helped in getting the demonstrative idea of the person-centred care approach for the older people.
The intervention themes are usually based with the focus on the perspective of the client as this helped in better understanding of the client so that their personal wishes, care needs and other objectives can be identified.
The four major such domains included in the interview study included:
Thus, the person-centred care approach calls for the regular screening approach to address the psychosocial problems functioning which can be done about by the nurses and other healthcare workers during the entire treatment procedure. I wished them all the very best for their future. The older patients are also supposed to be found with other related symptom that pertains to the lack of energy and sleep apnea (Cataldo et al. 2013).
The comorbidity cases in the mental illnesses need more healthcare support and care as the emotional and the mental health of the people should not get disturbed while providing the person-centred care approach care to them. The healthcare professionals and the other experts should provide comfortable support and area to these patients so that they are able to tackle the situation wisely and effectively. The social anxiety disorders should be treated considerably as it can lead to many different of more serious health and mental complications.
Thus, by taking the consideration of the above health related factors, the aging factors can be dealt upon with utmost care and practice. This helps in summarising the fact that the healthcare needs of the people can be met upon. The factors that influence such person should be checked at all levels. Other educational and the informational factors canalso be assessed as this helps in catering the healthcare needs of the people.
