The selected patient for this report has been suffering from high blood pressure – 150/98 which is a true sign of hypertension. He is a man of 65 years and has been retired since the last year. He was completely at home during the lockdown during which his blood pressure increased and he was in urgent need of medical attention.

Diagnosis

He was Diagnosed With High Blood Pressure by sphygmomanometer by the appointed medical professional. His genetic testing was done and the genetic testing of his parents were also done. It was found that the whole family had a history of hypertension and thus the trend was carried to the next generations.

Background

Hypertension is a result of high blood pressure and it has been found that the same is divided into various groups or stages (Flynn, Joseph et al). Depending on the stages of hypertension, the overall treatment plan is decided.

Description

High blood pressure causes immense inflammation of blood vessels which can also rupture causing death of the patient. For this patient, blood pressure was very high and he was in urgent need of medical attention.

Symptoms

Increasing weight, shivering at times, fainting sometimes, dizziness, nausea and high body temperature making the person feel cold at times has been found to be the most significant symptoms that pointed out a high blood pressure in the individual. These were the overall symptoms of the person suffering from high blood pressure – hypertension that may have led to cardiovascular disorder.
