Introduction

The following discussion will be online learning. It will be analyzed that how people with disability use the online learning platform and the barriers they face while accessing online learning platform. Moreover, the solution that how the barriers can be reduced will be also discussed.

Online learning platform

Technology has grown so much that it became a part of daily activity in human life. Nowadays people who are disabled can also connect themselves to technology and take benefits of it. There are so many tech tools available for people with a disability such as, Screen reader which is software this software reads the words that are displayed on a screen with the help of a speech synthesizer. However, screen reader software is not so much helpful for disabled people like this software reader all words displayed on the screen and it takes a lot of time because they do not need to read everything such as the section that is displaying ads (Lazar, 2019). A better screen reader platform allows visually disabled persons to quickly monitor what is read, such as by locating text strings on the display, reading only a line of text, or reading just bold or specific color text. Some of the recommended screens recommended screen recorder are Hal, JAWS and COBRA. Furthermore, the Braille keyword is also available for disabled people this is different from than normal keyword. In this keyword, there are 8 keys that are being used for composing the braille letters (Laabidi, et al., 2014). This is very helpful to navigate. There are a few more software that is helpful for disabled people such as sip and puff systems, and hands-free mouse tracking. There is also a plethora of absolutely incredible ways for visually disabled individuals to manipulate a cursor without relying on a mouse or keyboard commands. Face Mouse, for example, transforms a regular webcam into a mouse operator.  

As it has been seen that disable people have gained access to the online learning platform and they are getting benefits of this technology. However, they have still some barriers and facing difficulty for instance while they use screen recorder software, they have to spend more time therefore, the technology is not feasible for them this can be done by using artificial intelligence (Lazar and Jaeger, 2011). The owner of the website or software should integrate artificial intelligence to reduce such kind of problems also they should customize the learning experience. Disable people should be offered comfort and privacy. The researchers and developers are required to put their interest in solving the problems of disabling a person (Samuelson, 2018).

Conclusion

From the above finding, it can be concluded that technology has made life simpler for a normal person as well as to disable person. For the disabled person also, there are so many platforms available that can be used for online learning purpose. However, those technology is in need of improvement and artificial intelligence can solve their problem.
