Introduction

Car rental system of XYZ business at present is unable to manage their operations efficiently due to inefficiency in their current operations. It has been observed that the lack of appropriate online system will impact the way performance are being carried out. Further, it has been observed that lack of inefficiency with manual system has influenced the performance. Therefore, the need to introduce an automated system is very crucial.

The report will focus on addressing the key elements associated with the current system and the way new system is going to be implemented. In this report, the focus is to use UML diagrams for representing the different functionalities performed by the car rentals system.

Problem/opportunity identified

The car rental system at present manual approach. It is difficult to track all the information associated with the system. As a result, it has been observed that the online system will help in bringing better opportunity towards the business. It is expected that the new project will lead to offering high-end advantage towards the businesses. Therefore, the need to introduce appropriate solution is very crucial.

Goal and objectives of this project

The goal of the assessment is to introduce an effective online system that will help car rental organization. The automated new online car rental system will offer high advantages. These will ensure that all the information of any challenges. It can be concluded that the focus will be entirely on developing a new system that will automate operations much more efficiently. The expected objectives to be addressed with the project development are discussed below:

Data gathering methodology and results

The data gathering methodology is needed to be selected on the basis of requirements. At present it can be stated that the appropriate utilisation of a data gathering methods will help in obtaining sufficient amount of information. These helps in providing with better analysis. The most suitable data gathering methodology that has been utilised in these analyses is the approach of secondary method. With the help of secondary method it became easy to obtain detailed information regarding the system. The secondary method helps in exploring the issues faced with the current system. This has also provided with the understanding for developing a new system. Therefore, it can be clearly stated that the proper utilisation of the approach leads it to better development of the system.

The current system has divided into registration, card and accounts. The main flaws that are identified with the current system are lack of efficiency in operations. The key actors that are identified with the car rental online system include system admin, car owner and clients. The rental data is the database that is maintained by the car rental online system so that it becomes easy to ensure that all the information are being maintained and evaluated successfully within the organisation.

System requirement of a car rental online system is divided into functional and non-functional requirements. The functional requirements is identified with the motive to understand the basic functionality that are expected to be offered with the car rental online system. Whereas the non-functional requirements are referred to the characteristics of the system.

Conclusions

The report discussed about the way online car rental system is going to provide opportunities towards the business operations. Hence it can be recommended that the introduction of online rental system will lead to offering better facilities. This will improve the way operations are being carried out in the organization. Further, the customer satisfaction rate will also increase.

The recommendations that must be kept in mind while managing the implementation of car rental system are discussed below:

• Implementation must be done with appropriate security mechanism
• The staffs must be provided with proper training regarding the system

The assessment aims was to evaluate the current system functioning so that it becomes easy to introduce a new way of managing operations. Online car rental system is being introduced in the assessment for the purpose of offering better functionality. I can state that the appropriate utilisation of UML diagrams has been evaluated so that it can help in offering better output. I have focused on selecting secondary data gathering methods for the purpose of gathering details. I have focused on utilizing appropriate technique for the purpose of meeting the requirements.
