Introduction

One of the most well-known power struggles in the history of the planet can obviously be the rivalry between Queen Elizabeth I and Mary the queen of scots. Both these women who were cousins to one another had a very twisted and difficult relationship which ended with the power struggle that carried on for years and the execution of Mary while Elizabeth I became known as one of the most known monarchs in world history (Pope-Hennessy & Vickers,2018). General nature of their power struggle remained forward and carried between being a political and social power struggle for as long as Queen Mary Stayed alive. Both these women who were never part of each other’s life and never even had the opportunity to meet one another with considered two of the most prominent and powerful faces of Europe and someone who had a very different life story before becoming the face of politics in Britain and in Europe (Phillips,2021). The following essay will further the look into the power struggle of queen Elizabeth I and Mary the queen of scots.

The power struggles

Queen Elizabeth on one hand was the child of king Henry the Vlll and Anne Boleyn who was the first queen in history to be executed by her husband the king. After the execution of her mother Queen Elizabeth lead a low profile and struggle some life that continued till her sister marry the first died and The Throne was given to Elizabeth as one of those monarchs who was always supported by the general public for her mental intellectuality and her educational qualities (Lake,2016). On the other hand, Mary, the queen of scots the daughter of king James V of Scotland held the Crown of Scotland from the very beginning of her life after the demise of a father and continue to enjoy so even after getting married to the reigning prince of France till the time she lost her husband and became queen consort. After losing her spot as queen of France Mary came back to look for the spot that she helped write after Elizabeth I to the Crown of England.

Elizabeth and Queen Mary never had the opportunity to meet one another but their relationships with one another was never gold which also led to the imprisonment of Mary for long Mary came years before she was discovered to be part of a treason-based act against the queen to dethrone her and take her place as the queen of England. On the other hand, Mary leads a prosperous and lavish life from the very beginning of her days from being the daughter and the queen of Scott ever since she was born to becoming the queen of France as well memory always held the position of a ruler since the beginning of her life and she knew that she was a queen since she gained consciousness in life (Serive et al.,2017). Both these women in classification of taxonomy can have a very different lies however it was Mary who held a bigger and more prominent position in terms of taxonomy of the society.

However, when it comes to speculating and understanding the evidences that show power instruments that were used and created and communicated between these two as well as by these two to other people it can clearly be seen that Elizabeth held a stronger role in the development of her conditions and her on taxonomy (Wrong,2017). From the very beginning of her life Elizabeth was a very well-educated individual even for the time when she was born in with all the intellectual ATI that she held which made her a successful Monarch at the time of her rule. In terms of the example to understand how Elizabeth was above in terms of the competition between her and Mary Queen of scots it can be easily viewed by the fact that have Elizabeth never let Mary enter the kingdom of England and always made sure that the people of England never got understood and attached to Mary as a leader (Blakar,2017). On the other hand, Mary who was next in line to Elizabeth held a controversial life due to all the Re marriages that she was part of which led people to believe that she indulges herself in adultery.

On the other hand, it can be said that Mary also made sure that people knew that she was here for the rightful place that she should be in after losing her husband in France and coming back to receive the coldness of her cousin. Leading a very controversial life Mary was lastly imprisoned and forced to abdicate in favour of a 1-year-old son and later imprisoned in a royal jail court with various servants provided to her by Queen Elizabeth herself. If this were not the best power instrument that were used by Elizabeth to create and communicate have power over Mary, she also constantly ignored the letters of lead that Mary wrote her throughout her 19 years in imprisonment (Lasswell,2017). Mary also pleaded her chance by involving herself in the Babington plot that focused on assassinating Elizabeth in order for made it to take the English Throne. This became a proper chance and opportunity for Elizabeth II finally sign made is death warrant which took a pics time to finally get beheaded over the Fotheringhay castle in 1587.

If power instruments were used differently

The outcome of this power struggle would have been completely different if in the very first place Mary the queen of scots would have stayed away from all the scandals that she was put through and see in the lives in herself and would have stayed longer enough till the time Queen Elizabeth I would have left the world in order for her own children to be the direct descendants of The Throne (Choyer,2020). This would have changed the complete circle and the situation of the current modern British monarchy to what was not actually something that started from Queen Elizabeth I but was a part of this complete action that led to the current queen Elizabeth II being the current queen of England (Guy,2017). The other change that would have completely changed the power instrument if things were done differently would have happened if Mary would have stayed in France as queen consort and let her son rule .

France which would have made her a ruler and someone who would have had a longer life than she had to leave and endure in imprisonment instead would have had a more comfortable and lavish life for herself and her children. In terms of Elizabeth things would have been different if it was not her sister Mary who is often suggested as the bloody Mary would have stayed alive and people would have not launched a Revolt against her to put Elizabeth On the Throne in her place if only married the first of England would have been a good ruler in the very first place and would have not walk the steps of Her own father (Doda,2016). This would have led Elizabeth to always stay as the second to The Throne and in terms would have had a more normal life that she has had while Mary would have progressed to have her own Heirs to The Throne.

Apart from that the last alternative between the power struggle would have been is Queen Elizabeth would have given Mary the queen of scots a chance and let her out of the impression the end and gave her the chance to be part of her coat and keep her next in line to her. This would have had given a great opportunity of growth for marry as well as for her coming generations which will lost in time and never got the opportunity to rule over England (Scholz,2020). Even if she would have passed even before Elizabeth did, she would have been a sure that having a good relationship with the queen would ensure that her children will now be next in line right after her if she is not able to serve.

In conclusion it can be stated that many struggles of power are still relevant on this planet but some in the past had the ability to change the future of an entire nation or a continent at once. There have been various power struggles All Around the World throughout history but none was associated with two strong women who held their own till the very end and where Queens on their own way and their own lands.
