I do think that the Canadian criminal justice system's response to Vince Li's behavior was inappropriate, given our current legislation. This is due to the following issues from the video;

The actual crime here is the absence of justice. Just to put this into perspective, this monster killed a young man, stabbed him hundreds of times, literally ate his heart and his eyes, severed his head, showing it off to and terrorizing those outside the bus with pride, and could be a free man after a year (Bottoms et. l 2020). Instead, I cannot believe that the cops let him defile the body for 4 hours (Pridemore et. l 2018). And I cannot think that they did not hold him accountable for the murder (Carrabine et. l 2020). This is a mockery.

"He ate my son's eye and 1/3 of his heart," which made my heart drop into my stomach.  I feel so much sympathy for this family and Tim." Tried to ditch out the back window'' shows he knew what he did was wrong (Farrington et. l 2020). Had the ability to determine right and wrong. This man should not be free (Pridemore et. l 2018). Justice was not served. Also, the idea that "He was observing and looking who to kill when he got on that bus 'This is a mind of a serial killer, period. Besides," He brought a knife," which means premeditated out to kill, and he was not a psycho (Jones, 2021). He knew what he was doing and was already expecting an outcome from it, death. Rather than taking his own life, he took that of someone else.

Honestly, what is even the point of a justice system? I cannot even begin to imagine the pain his family still endures. My heart truly goes out to them. Also, I cannot imagine the pain he went through and how his family can live knowing that Tim has suffered so brutally and his body was disrespected like that (Lynch, 2021). This is by far the most traumatizing episode I have ever watched on the fifth estate (Presser et. l 2019). I cannot imagine being one of the witnesses or one of Tim's family members (McClanahan et. l 2020). I am in tears just writing this; I do not even know what to say. No justice was served here (Moosavi, 2019). Anyone that sick should never be released back into the public. This is negligent of the system, which failed on this issue.
