The person I chose is my work colleague and the person’s role were to complete the given tasks within the given deadline. However, the said person would often procrastinate and missed out on several deadlines which was hampering the performance of the team. As a close friend of the individual, I decided to talk to them and explain to them the importance of being efficient and completing the assigned tasks on time. I approached them with a direct structure and talked to them, explaining that it was not only hampering their own performance but also creating hinderance for the overall team. I was able to communicate how they would not have been reprimanded often if they completed all the tasks on time. I reasoned by saying that they could be fired if they continued their procrastinating habits. The individual’s response was positive as they understood the importance and what I had told them and ever since have been working diligently. I believe I had successfully communicated as the individual was able to understand and reacted positively.

No, I would not have done anything differently as the approach was acceptable and communicated the message successfully.
