The report is based on the personal effectiveness which plays a crucial role in the success story of the organization. The effectiveness of the personnel or the people associated with the organization at different levels of the organization has an impact on the success or failure of the organization. The personal effectiveness is the way the individual brings out the best in themselves. This an approach used by each and every individual who belongs from any domain by totally and efficiently utilizing their energy, the acquired skills and the motivation or inspiration to accomplish the goals and objective that an individual has set for himself. The individual who possess an efficient personal effectiveness are the one who are meant to achieve more at a constant rate, get advancement in their respective careers and tends to develop themselves both in a professional life and also in the personal life. Whenever someone display individual competence, users must use the whole resources at your disposal to get the results user’s desire. This would entail boldly controlling oneself with realizing how it must be the obligation which need to be the required actions towards success and development while taking advantage of the help and support that others may provide (Vipinkumar et al. 2017).
Personal efficiency seems to be a quality that is frequently connected to happiness and is also an essential component of living a productive and satisfying existence. Inside a corporate perspective, it was a valuable ability which will help individual become more creative, inspired, and successful within the work. Individual must first comprehend the maximum degree of performance in order to display personal productivity. Then maybe individual can figure out what personal effectiveness looks like for himself and how to get there. There are certain skills that an individual gains from the personal effectiveness which help them to become a successful professional in their respective professions.
The skills like determination of the individual increases which self-motivate the individual to work efficiently, helps to increase the confidence level of the individual which makes them more competent in their professional life, and there are many more skills which the individual gathers which are very much worthy in professional like persistence, stress management, problem solving, time management, reflection, organization, habits of building, the emotional intelligence, most importantly it helps to develop the self-confidence of the individual and many more.
Personal effectiveness in the job entails executing towards the utmost of someone's skills. When the individual use personal effectiveness in the workplace, you will be able to manage the time effectively, stay on track, meet deadlines, and complete all of the tasks towards the highest possible standard (Berglund 2018). The purpose of the report is to understand the personal effectiveness firstly by determining the skills, behaviors and qualities of a popular individual which is Mr. Sundar Pichai who is the CEO of Google Inc. the largest multinational company and followed by this a reflection of my own weaknesses the way to improve it using the personal effectiveness theories and models.
Sundar Pichai coming from a humble Indian family the most important personality trait is being humble. Being humble is an important personality trait as people with this personality trait tend to observe the good in every human being (Gopalakrishnan and Banerjee 2018). A leader needs to see the positive sides in every team member so that the leader can utilize their skills correctly and maintain a positive healthy atmosphere amongst the team. A personality trait that he has which is both good as well as bad is being an introvert, it is bad as he might not be the brave fearless warrior leader whom everyone will follow and create a buzz in the team channeling high voltage of energy but at the same time, his calm personality allows which to assess the situation better and given more time come up with a better effective efficient solution to challenges.
Another practice that Sundar Pichai preaches at Google is not to celebrate or celebrate one’s success but to see the success and happiness in others' success. As the leader Sundar teaches the fact that one must always care about people to understand what each other is going through and better judge any given situation to make decisions. Empowering youths has always been the policy of Sundar as he aims at helping the youth to get proper guidance towards their career. He organizes Google exclusive events for youths to explore themselves and project every ounce of creativity they have.
Google science is one such example (Choudhry 2021). Some more characteristics of Sundar Pichai that make him a successful modern leader is communication standards where he is known to change his style and method of communication-based on the audience he is addressing, his leadership style happens to be inclusive leadership where he focuses on empowering people avoiding all kinds of confrontation negative in nature and concentrating on cooperation with a calm nature is what gives him the edge as a leader (Mirbabaie, Marx and Stieglitz 2019).
Simplicity is what he defines as in an interview to New York Times he claimed that simplicity is hard to maintain but simplicity is what his base foundation is all about ('There was a simplicity to my life', says Sundar Pichai about his humble origins before becoming Google CEO, 2021). Resiliency is something that he had even before becoming CEO, when the Google chrome project started along with a group of 10 engineers the initial chrome project faced resistance from within the company, Sundar presented it to Larry and Sergey the founders and there was a lot of doubt, back then CEO Eric Schmidt also had doubts and objection towards the project. But his resiliency convinced the management and got the approval and in 2008 after the launch of chrome, the rest is history as it dominated the market and currently it has an unmatched market share of 69.28% with the second highest being Edge having only 7.75% (10 ways Sundar Pichai forged his mark at Google in 15 years, 2021). This success is proof of how the resiliency and other leadership qualities of Sundar Pichai gave Google the marketing domination that they were looking for.
As described by Covey in the 7 habits of highly effective people Sundar Pichai has some negative and positive sides in his way of leadership and qualities that he possesses. One of the important factors is being proactive, Sundar is always communicating with levels of management and on extremely off time he is busy connecting with people this helps is projective a positive image not only for him but for the brand as well. While working he has a set goal in mind just like when he first started he had the idea of launching chrome and making the project successful despite the setbacks his resiliency and set goal-oriented mindset led to the successful launch and market domination. Being a leader with leadership styles like inclusive and collaborative he is a calm minded soul with focuses on empowering his team and allowing everyone to play a role in decision making, this quality of avoiding conflicts and allowing everyone is decision making or taking everyone’s opinion into consideration is not always a positive side.
As some would project this quality to be a negative trait as he waits for the conflict to cool down rather than confronting and sorting the issue. This method may increase synergy as people will get to know each other and will get the sense of importance but instead of being a strong leader, the management might consider him to be a weak will leader. Sharpening the saw is perhaps the most individual aspect of growth as described by Covey it focuses on physical health and growth, spiritual reinforcement, and mental health. Such factors for the modern-day leader is exactly where they are supposed to be Sundar is known to have a simple lifestyle that does not involve any extravagant way of lifestyle and leisure which always puts him in the proper state of mind and physical health (Dutta and Chaudhry 2021).
The CEO genome project establishes the qualities that should be embedded in the character of a person to be a successful CEO. One of the factors states that CEO must be decisive with speed and conviction though Sundar Pichai has the conviction and speed there is a serious lack of aggression in his personality. According to the project, this increases the chances of CEO success in the long run in terms of sustainability. The second trait is that a CEO must have the personality of always engaging with management and other necessary parts of the organization to create an impact, needless to say, the project of Chrome is the best example of how Sundar has this trait and perhaps one of the reasons for being in the leadership.
Adaptability and reliability are important DNA features of a CEO when it comes to reliability it indeed is a positive factor as the management has seen over a long period of time how reliable Sundar Pichai is with long-term projects and the current promotion of the brand. Sundar having humble beginnings then reaching the leadership of tech giants is a milestone for everyone to dream of this does mean that he is filled with various qualities. The CEO genome project states that as per their research extroverts are always perceived to have stronger leadership traits than the CEO but introverts have been observed to have better performance for the company’s net profit.
The project has also stated the fact that the board of any company is always inclined towards extroverts because of their personality for being charismatic however introverts always surpass the expectations of the board and other investors (Botelho et al. 2017). This is one of the reasons why throughout the career of Sundar Pichai to date the management had little faith and confidence in him but he always delivered hence the board always had him as a priority. CEOs like Pichai or Obama were always considered to have the best of both worlds, they were classified as charismatic introverts.
The theories and concepts along with observations are a clear example that every leader has qualities that are not always negative or positive, it is the amalgamation of both negative as positive aspects that makes a good leader. One must embrace the flaws and work on improving as well as use the strength that he or she possesses to identify the qualities of the team and use the theme effectively.
To understand my strengths and weakness I have conducted a self-assessment test using one of the common tool of self-assessment the personal swot analysis (TÜRKMEN 2018). These tools helped me to identify the strengths that I possess which makes me differentiate from other and also which makes me work efficiently in professional and personal life. Further it highlights the weaknesses that I possess which I need to improve in order to become more efficient in the personal and professional life. Further this assessment also states the opportunities and threats that I possess which impacts my personal and the professional life.

As described by Covey in the 7 habits of highly effective people states that there are 7 habits which every individual need to develop in order to become a highly effective people are sharpen the saw where individual needs sustainable lifestyle which is incorporated in the personality development training which will help me to balance work life. The second habit is becoming proactive where it is needed to take charge rather to react on the situation this is been also provided in the personality development training which help me to become a good leader. Having vision in the mind was the third habit which is also been generated using personality development training which will help me in professional development.
Prioritizing the work is the next habit which is been generated by time management training this will help me to become more efficient and effective. The next two habits are win-win situation thinking and decision making after detailed evaluation this both attributes can be developed within the individual using both personality development training and stress management training help me to work ethically and enhance my problem solving and decision making skill. Finally synergy or working collaboratively can be developed in the individual using personality development training this will help me to become a good team player (Covey and Covey 2020).

So by the improvement plan I can develop to become an extrovert which will help me to be more compatible with the company.
The first part of the report is based on the evaluation of the personality of one of the renowned person in the world who is the CEO of Google Inc. Mr. Sundar Pichai. The skills and the behavior of Sundar Pichai is been discussed in details from where it is identified that he is humble in nature and likes to see positive side of every situation which differentiate him from others. He has personality traits which is comprises of both positive and negative qualities. But it is been identified that he has successfully managed his weaknesses and successfully portrayed his strengths to overcome his weaknesses and became a successful leader. Whereas on the other hand in the next part it comprises of reflection of my own strength and weaknesses which I possess. My weaknesses are been identified to understand how it is going to impact my professional life.
Further the solutions are been identified in such a way that my weaknesses can be mitigated in order to enhance my performance and efficiency in the professional career. Both the part of the report are interconnected with each other at the first part it is been identified that how one of the renowned person who is also a great leader in the world has managed his weaknesses in such a way that the weaknesses cannot overpower his strength as a result he is a successful person. Similarly in the second part of the report I have identified my own personality strength and weaknesses and tries to mitigates my weaknesses so that it can’t overpower my strength so that I can be also successful in my professional career.
