No, the relationship in case of female labour force participation with economic development is a controversial one, and it is portrayed in a much different manner in case of academic literature and debates regarding policy (Verick, 2018). There are many ups and downs in economic, social and educational patterns that refrain and create barriers for women to successfully participate in labour related jobs. Women constitute of 66 percentage in case of healthcare entry level employees, and there has been constant increase in women employment in case of healthcare perspectives. The major theoretical perspectives, Structural Functionalism, is the most popular theoretical structure in explaining the gender stratification. The initial arguments presented by functionalists is that gender role was created much more before the industrial era, but after World War II, during which men were mostly in war, women entered in industrial jobs (Rothman, 2015). The society went back to a state of imbalance when men came back from war, and tried to reclaim their jobs, and during that time many women did not want to leave their jobs.
