Being a photographer, the average salary is $39,000 per annum which boils down to $20 per hour. Salary for freshers may start around $24,000 per year but the most experienced and skillful photographers earn up to $292,000 per year.
In photography profession, the work includes a variety of works other than just taking photos. A photographer must be exceptionally creative and technical with his equipment’s. I have compared my compensation with the survey data. I found that my compensation is neither higher or lower than the data came out as a result of the survey. It is fairly average with survey data. Being an intermediate, my salary is surely enough for my level of skillset.

The data has been the final output of numbers obtained from different online sites and surveys conducted. So, it can be stated as completely reliable a number to compare with local market. And if I found that I was not making enough of what my skillset is deserving I would have definitely approached my organization with the following data to make them realize they were not paying me what i really deserve to make.
