National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage Rates

The National Minimum Wage is the smallest amount that is paid to an employee after performing particular work. In some countries, the hourly proportion for the minor wage rests on age and apprentice. To grow the National Minimum Wage, one must attain school exit age, and to get the National Leaving Wage, one must attain 23 years. School exit age depends on where one resides. In England, at the finish of seasonal holidays person can exit the institute on the last Friday of June. When one resides in Scotland and turns 16 between first March and thirtieth September can exit institute after thirty-first May of that season. In Wales, one is supposed to exit the institute on the last Friday in June, attaining sixteen by the end of that season (Reeves et al., 2017).

Employment Status

Conditions that classify a person to be a worker include; maintain an agreement act to perform for payment, be powerless to instruct someone else to perform a specific duty when payment is for profit.

Employment rights

Workers are entitled to the following employment rights; safety against illegal discrimination, being paid National Smallest Wage, Not working for more than 48 hours, among others (Bayliss, 2016).

Casual or Irregular work

The person is classified as a casual worker if he or she cannot send someone else to do their work. These individuals are under the supervision of a manager, and they do work for specific businesses. The business provides material, equipment, and tools that are needed to perform the expected work. 

Employees not eligible for the lowest pay

Employees who are not qualified to any minimum salaries include; self-employed people, business managers, workforces on government pre-apprenticeships organizations, detainees, and others.
